Female Summer Tanager

The Female Summer Tanager this bird is a medium sized American Song Bird, there song is often mistaken for the American Robin they also have a very distinct call make sure your volume is up and you can hear this females call. This bird was once classified in the Tanager family and has since be change to the Cardinal Family. They Specialize in eating Bees and wasps that they can catch  in flight then they take them to a tree limb and beat them on the limb before eating them as you can see in the video they will also feed at suet feeders.This video was taken in central Kentucky hope you enjoy the video.
